Singer and producer MC Mong has publicly refuted claims regarding his relationship with businesswoman Cha Ga-won that were recently featured on MBC’s investigative program PD Note.

On June 3, MC Mong addressed the controversy during a live broadcast on his social media account.

The remarks came one day after PD Note aired an episode titled “MC Mong and the Chairwoman’s K-Pop Business Secrets.” During the broadcast, a former executive assistant to Chairwoman Cha claimed that MC Mong, Cha Ga-won, and members of their hair and makeup staff had traveled aboard a private aircraft reportedly provided by a Las Vegas casino.

Responding to the allegations, MC Mong said he was exhausted by the ongoing controversy and acknowledged that the public was likely feeling the same fatigue. However, he strongly denied the suggestion that the trip was some kind of private or secret getaway.

“We all went together, including the company CEO, vice CEO, and every staff member,” he said. “If it had really been a romantic or secret trip, only two people would have gone. How could it be called that when the entire staff was there?”

MC Mong also criticized other allegations mentioned in the broadcast, including rumors involving high-stakes gambling and an alleged extramarital affair.

He argued that the program attracted attention with its title, but that much of the content consisted of unverified speculation. According to MC Mong, the interviews featured little more than rumors relayed by individuals such as taxi drivers or restaurant employees rather than concrete evidence.

The artist further claimed that the current affairs program was attempting to justify criticisms directed at him following a previous TikTok livestream in which he made allegations of his own.

Addressing issues related to One Hundred Label, MC Mong insisted that claims regarding unpaid settlements only surfaced after he had already been removed from the company. He also reiterated his disbelief over the “secret getaway” narrative, saying once again that no one would describe a trip involving an entire team of staff members as a private rendezvous.
