On June 2, “PD Note” broadcast the episode titled “MC Mong and the Chairman’s K-pop Business Secrets,” revealing alleged text messages connected to long-running rumors surrounding MC Mong and Cha Ga Won’s private lives.

During the broadcast, a man identified as A , Cha Ga Won’s uncle and the head of a well-known construction development company, disclosed mobile messages he claimed to have received from MC Mong. According to the messages shown on the program, MC Mong allegedly wrote: “I dated Ga Won. Three years ago, she asked me to date her, and after thinking about it, I did.”

The message appeared to suggest an admission of a romantic relationship. MC Mong allegedly continued, “Although she was a married woman, she said she was getting divorced. I was grateful because she took care of me and protected me.” The broadcast also revealed another shocking claim. In the alleged message, MC Mong reportedly stated: “I gambled like a man, I gambled with Cha Ga Won, and Ga Won also paid off my gambling debt.”

A further claim was that after receiving the messages, MC Mong personally came to see him and allegedly made threatening remarks, saying he was in a relationship with Cha Ga Won and would reveal it to the media.

However, both Cha Ga Won and MC Mong’s sides have strongly denied the affair allegations. They previously responded to similar claims by calling the related messages “fabricated materials.” Following the latest “PD Note” broadcast, MC Mong reportedly pushed back against the production team and announced plans to file a damages lawsuit worth 100 billion KRW.

The controversy has now placed MC Mong and Cha Ga Won back at the center of public attention, with viewers divided over the alleged messages, the denial from both sides, and the possibility of a massive legal battle. For now, the claims remain disputed, but the broadcast has reignited one of the most sensitive allegations surrounding MC Mong’s name.
