They continued, “The video has now been deleted from all official platforms. Moving forward, we will approach such matters with greater caution and sensitivity to ensure that no discomfort is caused.”

To the Moon, based on a novel of the same name, follows the story of three underprivileged women who plunge into the world of coin investments. Starring Lee Sun-bin, Ra Mi-ran, Jo A-ram and Kim Young-dae, the drama is scheduled to premiere on September 19.

The now-deleted teaser showed the cast dressed in Arabian-style costumes, dancing to a song with lyrics that included the phrase “looks strange.” The scene drew strong backlash online for “ridiculing another culture.”

As the criticism grew louder, the production team responded by removing the teaser from all official channels, acknowledging their mistake.
