The idea stemmed from Chenle’s own experience when he messaged his idol, renowned basketball player Stephen Curry, but was unsure if Curry would see his message since the basketball star did not follow him back on Instagram. To test the waters, Chenle suggested to Mark that they both unfollow each other to gauge fan response.
Excited by the potential drama, Mark and Chenle went ahead with the unfollowing. They eagerly anticipated the fans’ reactions, expecting a flurry of comments and speculation about their relationship. However, their plan didn’t quite go as expected. Despite their best efforts to stir up some excitement, fans hardly noticed the change, and there was little to no reaction to their stunt.
In a lighthearted moment, the two members expressed their surprise at the lack of fan reaction. Chenle remarked, “We wanted you guys to react with something like—”
Mark chimed in, “Is their relationship falling apart?”
Chenle added, “What’s happening between them?” They were hoping for a more engaged response.
