Specifically, it was found that between August and September 2022, A impersonated BTS’s Suga (real name Min Yoon-gi) and, during conversations with producer B, obtained unreleased guide tracks.

In November of the same year, A impersonated B to contact Suga, gathering information related to album release preparations, expected release dates and military service schedules.

Moreover, A was found to have impersonated BTS’s V (real name Kim Tae-hyung) to obtain over ten unreleased guide tracks from another producer.

The first trial court sentenced A to prison, stating that his actions had the potential to cause significant financial and social damage to BTS members and their company.

The appellate court dismissed both the defendant’s and the prosecutor’s appeals, maintaining the first trial’s judgment.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that A, known as a music producer, had previously participated in the production of songs for famous idol groups.
