MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul crowned the highest credited female idol in KOMCA history with her latest solo album

Moonbyul just had a solo comeback and fans already get to celebrate this amazing achievement of hers. 

MAMAMOO is recognized as one of the most talented 3rd generation girl groups. They never fail to stun audiences with top-notch performances showing off the members’ excellent live vocals.

Besides group promotions, all MAMAMOO members have successfully debuted as soloists. The group’s rapper Moonbyul is the latest member to have a solo comeback. She released the album C.I.T.T (Cheese In The Trap) featuring the title track of the same name on April 28. C.I.T.T debuted at No. 5 on Worldwide iTunes Song Chart in 2022, surpassing Taeyeon’s Can’t Control Myself and becoming the highest-charting song by a female idol on this chart 2022.

C.I.T.T’s first-day album sales reached 68,138 copies on Hanteo, the second-highest in the Top 5 female artists with the best-selling first-day physical sales in 2022 (after Taeyeon’s INVU). C.I.T.T ranked 1st on iTunes in 12 countries and regions. The MV for C.I.T.T ranked 4th on YouTube Music Videos Trending Worldwide and entered the top trending in 10 countries.

Besides, Moonbyul has officially been recognized for the copyright of 2 songs in the single album “C.I.T.T” written by the female idol herself, making her the most credited female artist of all time for songwriting on KOMCA (Korea’s Music Copyright Association).
