In a quiet but emotional turn, R&B ballad powerhouse Lyn and MC the Max’s Lee Soo have officially ended their marriage after 11 years.
According to an exclusive report by Dispatch, the couple recently finalized divorce proceedings after in-depth conversations and mutual agreement. A representative emphasized that “neither party was at fault and there is no animosity,” adding that both artists still “respect each other’s music” and will continue to cheer each other on in their respective paths.

The two were married in 2014, having been born in the same year and sharing not only their personal lives but also a deep musical bond. Their creative collaboration remained steady throughout their marriage, most recently culminating in the 2024 duet project album “FRIENDLY+n.”
Both artists are currently signed under the same label, 325E&C, and despite the divorce, they plan to remain with the agency and proceed with their scheduled activities, including year-end concerts.
Lyn, who rose to fame in 2002 with the hit “We Were In Love”, is beloved for her iconic K-drama OSTs such as “Back in Time” and “My Destiny.” She recently ventured into a new genre she dubbed “R&B Trot,” continuing to push creative boundaries.

Lee Soo debuted with the band Moon Child in 2000 and later rebranded as MC the Max in 2002, achieving massive success with emotional ballads like “The Poem of Love,” “Don’t Be Happy,” and “No Matter Where.”
Background Controversy
Their marriage has long been shadowed by controversy. Lee Soo was embroiled in a serious scandal during his alternative military service in 2009, when he was suspended from indictment after being implicated in three instances of soliciting prostitution from an underage girl online. Despite this, Lyn publicly supported him at the time, which drew mixed reactions from the public.
