“Lovely Runner” is Even Triumphing on Billboard With OST Song

“Sudden Shower”, a song of boy group ECLIPSE from the K-drama “Lovely Runner”, is now even doing well on Billboard.

On June 4 (local time), Billboard announced that “Sudden Shower”, a song of fictional boy group ECLIPSE from the K-drama “Lovely Runner”, ranked 199th on the ‘Billboard Global 200’ chart.

The Billboard Global 200 chart ranks songs based on streaming and sales data, without considering broadcast scores.

ECLIPSE

Among notable entries, NewJeans’ “How Sweet” and “Bubble Gum” ranked 15th and 30th respectively, aespa’s “Supernova” and “Armageddon” ranked 17th and 55th. The appearance of “Sudden Shower” thus signifies the drama’s immense popularity – as it is notorious hard to attain such achievement.

Notably, ECLIPSE has never performed on music shows outside of the drama, leading fans to hope for at least one promotional activity, especially as the drama ended a week ago.

ECLIPSE

Due to this popularity, there were rumors that ECLIPSE, consisting of Byun Woo-seok, Lee Seung-hyub, Moon Si-on, and Yang Hyuk, would appear at KCON, a K-culture festival hosted by CJ ENM. However, CJ ENM announced that these reports were false, disappointing fans.

Nevertheless, the drama’s popularity persists, and with the full OST of “Lovely Runner” being released on the 5th, interest in ECLIPSE’s potential music show promotions is expected to increase.
