According to Sina, actors Dylan Wang, Bai Lu, and Zhao Lusi have recently become the center of several controversies, drawing criticism over their attitudes toward colleagues and their work. Meanwhile, Liu Yifei, who has maintained a relatively scandal-free career for more than 20 years in the entertainment industry, once made remarks that many believe serve as a lesson for the younger stars.
In a past interview, Liu Yifei shared: “If you want to act well, you must first learn how to be a good person. Some actors become famous too quickly. They gain popularity before experiencing the process of growth, accumulation, and hardship in the arts, and then they begin to develop illusions about themselves. After that, they stop paying attention to their roles and instead focus on misguided and unhealthy things. This can negatively influence the public and bring many harmful effects to the entertainment industry. I believe people like that will not go far and will eventually face the consequences.”

She added, “As a public figure and someone who receives love from the audience, you must first be able to face yourself, your viewers, and the works you participate in without shame. You must also have moral boundaries. Only then do you have the opportunity to become a truly good actor.”
Meanwhile, Dylan Wang recently came under criticism after sharing a post expressing his dissatisfaction and claiming that he felt isolated and bullied by other cast members on a variety show. However, many viewers pointed out that the incident had already occurred three months earlier. They argued that bringing it up again publicly could encourage fans to criticize and attack his colleagues.

Some members of the public also questioned why the matter was not handled privately, suggesting that Dylan Wang’s decision to discuss it on social media unnecessarily created controversy and affected others involved.
As a result, despite being the first person to voice his grievances, public opinion did not overwhelmingly side with the actor. In a poll involving more than 200,000 participants, 83% of respondents expressed support for actress Shen Yue instead.

Many critics believe Dylan Wang has benefited from significant industry support and favorable treatment from production companies, leading to accusations that he has become comfortable criticizing colleagues and even damaging projects in which he participates. Ultimately, the final episode of the variety show The Inn 2026 reportedly failed to air as originally scheduled following the controversy.
Liu Yifei’s comments have also been applied to Bai Lu and Zhao Lusi. Critics argue that while both actresses have achieved considerable popularity, their acting abilities still reveal noticeable weaknesses. Instead of focusing on improving their performances, some believe they have become overly eager to showcase themselves as multi-talented entertainers by organizing music performances despite having limited musical abilities.

Bai Lu and Zhao Lusi have also frequently been linked to rumors of conflicts with colleagues, further fueling criticism. Detractors argue that such incidents reflect a lack of humility and an inflated perception of their own status within the industry.
On social media, many users expressed agreement with Liu Yifei’s remarks:
- “One comment said it perfectly: People working in culture must first be cultured themselves.”
- “Dylan hears this and feels uncomfortable. Bai Lu hears it and rolls her eyes.”
- “Liu Yifei said this, but I wonder if he (Dylan Wang) and his fans feel uncomfortable hearing it.”
- “It describes Bai Lu, Zhao Lusi, and Dylan Wang surprisingly well.”
- “Even when praise is delivered with obvious meaning, they only hear what they want to hear. That says everything.”
- “You’re wrong about one thing, Liu Yifei. Dylan Wang wasn’t neglecting his acting after becoming famous too quickly—his acting wasn’t good from his very first drama.”
- “You’re an actor, but instead of improving your acting skills, you decide to hold concerts like a singer.”
- “I think she’s right. They became famous too quickly, started overestimating their importance, and stopped respecting others. It fits those three quite well.”
- “Bai Lu has been in the industry for 10 years, but when has she ever struggled for opportunities? Her acting is stiff, yet she keeps getting lead roles.”
- “Ten years of mostly lead roles. Count how many supporting roles Bai Lu has played, despite lacking strong professional skills.”
- “Zhao Lusi’s acting is weak. Instead of improving, she spends her time taking jabs at others, then plays the victim when criticized.”
- “The trio should listen carefully and learn something.”
- “An artist should first and foremost be a cultured and respectful person.”
