Lisa’s “Rockstar” MV Unveils Creepy Filming Site, Even Shut Down a Whole Street?

The filming sites of BLACKPINK’s Lisa’s “Rockstar” include an extremely creepy location and Thailand’s most famous street.

On June 26, BLACKPINK’s Lisa unveiled a 10-second teaser for the MV of her upcoming solo song, “Rockstar”. The teaser has since drawn immense attention, not only for its glamor and shocking scale, but also for the hefty payment that dancers receive.

Additionally, the filming sites of the “Rockstar” MV have also become a hot topic.

In particular, it was revealed that Lisa filmed at New World – a famous abandoned shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand, which is even rumored to be haunted. The location, which boasts a creepy atmosphere, has given fans some “chills”.

On top of this, Lisa also shut down the entire street on Yaowarat Road (also regarded as Chinatown) in Bangkok, Thailand, to film her MV. The female idol allegedly paid 20,000 Thai Baht (approx 540 USD) to each shop on the road so that they will close early for filming, amounting to quite the massive sum considering the scale and abundant number of businesses on Yaowarat.

Meanwhile, “Rockstar” and its highly-anticipated MV will be officially released on June 28 (KST).
