BLACKPINK’s Lisa became one of the biggest talking points at Yaya Urassaya and Nadech Kugimiya’s wedding reception in Bangkok not only for her elegant appearance but also because of a mystery man who was repeatedly seen by her side.
Photos from the event quickly went viral, prompting widespread speculation on social media about the identity of the handsome man accompanying the K-pop star.
The Bangkok reception marked the couple’s third wedding celebration after earlier ceremonies in Khon Kaen, Thailand, and Oslo, Norway, leading fans to jokingly say that Yaya had “married three times in three months.”
Among the many celebrity guests, Lisa attracted the most attention. Shortly after the event, newly released photos amassed more than 2.1 million views on X (formerly Twitter), with thousands of comments discussing her appearance.
Many fans noticed a man in a beige suit standing close to Lisa throughout the celebration. Because his outfit featured tones similar to Lisa’s dress, some international netizens even speculated that he could be her new boyfriend following reports that she had ended her relationship with Frédéric Arnault.
The mystery was soon solved. The man seen with Lisa is Sunny Suwanmethanont, one of Thailand’s most well-known actors. According to multiple reports from Thai media, Sunny and Lisa share a friendly senior-junior relationship within the Thai entertainment industry, and there is no evidence that they are romantically involved. The dating rumors appear to have been fueled solely by the viral photos showing the pair interacting during the wedding.
Born in 1981, Sunny Suwanmethanont is a successful Thai actor and model of Thai, French, and Singaporean heritage. He graduated from Assumption University and made his acting debut in 2005 with the romantic film Dear Dakanda. Despite entering the industry relatively later than many of his peers, his breakout performance earned him the Best Actor award at the Kom Chad Luek Awards.
Over the years, Sunny has become one of Thailand’s most recognizable leading men through both films and television dramas, starring in popular projects including: Dear Dakanda, Heart Attack, I Fine… Thank You… Love You, Love and Run, Cupid’s Tears, My Ambulance.
