On the morning of September 29 (KST), Lisa (BLACKPINK) took the stage as the headliner at the renowned Global Citizen Festival in the U.S. Unlike her performance at the 2024 VMAs, the BLACKPINK maknae surprised fans by confidently delivering five consecutive songs for the first time in her career. The setlist not only included familiar tracks like “LALISA,” “Money,” “New Woman,” and “ROCKSTAR,” but also featured the debut performance of “Moonlit Floor”—an unreleased song.
Performing continuously for 20 minutes with these five songs, Lisa’s solo stage received overwhelmingly positive reactions. Learning from the controversial reception at the 2024 VMAs, this time Lisa made sure her live vocals were more prominent, not overshadowed by the backtrack.
In addition to her vocal performance, Lisa energized the stage with interactive moments between songs, proving that her entire set was performed live. She presented all four solo songs in her career with brand new musical arrangements and fresh choreography, skillfully synchronized with her dancers.
However, near the end of the performance, Lisa almost stumbled while walking across the dancers’ backs to reach the stage. Fortunately, she remained calm and finished her performance professionally and flawlessly.
One of the standout moments of Global Citizen Festival was Lisa’s unreleased track “Moonlit Floor,” a pop ballad newly adapted from the original song “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer. Although not yet officially released, after the performance aired, fans eagerly anticipated the song’s audio release.
The lyrics of “Moonlit Floor” particularly caught attention, especially the line: “Greened eyes French boy got me trippin’,” which led many to believe that Lisa was subtly confirming her relationship with French billionaire CEO Frédéric Arnault after two years of speculation.
