Legendary girl group Girls’ Generation to return as a whole, comeback date confirmed

Girls’ Generation (SNSD) official started the countdown for their August comeback

On July 25th, a post announcing the release of Girls’ Generation’s 7th full-length album “FOREVER 1” was published on the official SNS of the group.

In the announcement pose, the date “2022.08.08” was revealed, in addition with the phrase “Girls’ Generation COMING SOON”, causing fans to get excited.

Along with news of the new album, the profile description on the group’s official account also drew attention, as it was changed to “No.1 girl group, Girls’ Generation!”

Girls’ Generation (also known as SNSD) debuted in August 2007 with “Into The New World”, before becoming a legendary group with various hit songs like “Hoot”, “Gee”, “Genie”, “The Boys”, and more.

However, since their 6th full album “Holiday Night” in 2017, the group has only been active with individual and sub-unit activities, it was not until 2022 that they finally announced plans to return as a whole.

As Girl’s Generation celebrate their 15th anniversary this year, fans have high anticipation for the full-length album, which finally comes after 5 years of waiting.

Prior to the comeback, Girls’ Generation has been appearing in the JTBC’s reality show “Soshi Tamtam”.
