In the early hours of January 4, the individual identified as A released a lengthy post on their personal account, reiterating past claims while presenting additional materials they say support their allegations. A stated that as early as last May, they had emailed Lee Yi-kyung’s agency with captured materials related to what they described as inappropriate sexual remarks and photos allegedly sent by the actor.

In the newly released statement, A claimed to possess screenshots showing incoming voice calls from Lee Yi-kyung. According to A, the materials include chat records explaining they were unable to answer the call, screenshots of the incoming voice call screen shared with an acquaintance, and corresponding timestamps.
A further alleged that during the call, Lee Yi-kyung made remarks suggesting that A’s personal information could become public because of the email sent to the agency, warning that the matter could be treated as a criminal case involving legal representation and investigation. A described the remarks as threatening, arguing that the actor avoided addressing responsibility for his alleged past sexually inappropriate comments while instead implying potential exposure of A’s identity.
The whistleblower added that despite never directly informing Lee Yi-kyung about contacting his agency, the actor allegedly initiated contact first, which reinforced A’s belief that the caller was indeed Lee Yi-kyung.

According to A, the actor continued with statements implying media involvement and emotional appeals, claiming he considered A a close acquaintance and questioning why the report had been made. A said these interactions caused severe psychological pressure, leading them to send a follow-up email withdrawing the original tip.
Addressing questions surrounding the authenticity of the released evidence, A explained that the screenshots show KakaoTalk’s automatic translation feature activated and that discrepancies in timestamps are due to different time zone settings — Germany on A’s device and South Korea on the acquaintance’s device. A also clarified that they could not submit the full chat history because they changed phones and no longer have access to the original conversation, leaving only previously saved screenshots.
A concluded by stating that the credibility of the materials will ultimately be verified through official investigation. They emphasized that the evidence was not manipulated and revealed that, following guidance from the embassy, they are preparing to pursue formal legal action. A also urged Lee Yi-kyung to cooperate fully with any potential forensic analysis if he wishes to uncover the truth.
Shortly after, A uploaded an additional post reiterating these points and released what they described as evidence photos to the public.

The controversy traces back to October last year, when A first accused a person alleged to be Lee Yi-kyung of engaging in sexually explicit conversations and sharing selfies. At the time, Lee Yi-kyung’s agency strongly denied the claims and announced plans to take legal action against false information and malicious rumors.
A later issued an apology, stating they had not received money nor been threatened, before once again reversing their stance and suggesting they might release further proof, claiming frustration over being accused of using AI-generated content.
Amid the ongoing dispute, Lee Yi-kyung withdrew from his fixed cast role on MBC’s How Do You Play? and also stepped down from his scheduled MC position on KBS2’s The Return of Superman.
As conflicting claims continue to surface, the case remains unresolved, with public attention now focused on whether the matter will move forward through formal investigative channels.
