Lee Sung Min talks about the controversy over “Reborn Rich” ending, “Jin Yang Chul lived longer than planned. I didn’t like it”
Actor Lee Sung Min revealed a behind-the-scenes story about the drama “Reborn Rich”.
Lee Sung Min guested on the broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Park Myung Soo’s Radio Show” on February 15th.
When asked about the huge popularity of his previous work “Reborn Rich”, Lee Sung Min said, “I didn’t know it would be that successful. The viewer rating result was good but I didn’t realize it. After receiving too many phone calls and text messages, I finally knew that the drama had become a hot topic”
Park Myung Soo commented, “I binge-watched it in two days. But I was surprised by the sudden ending”. Regarding the controversy over the ending of ‘Reborn Rich’, Lee Sung Min said, “I didn’t read the remaining part of the script after my character died.”
He continued, “I’m saying this for the first time. According to the original plan, Jin Yang Chul would die earlier. It turned out that he lived a little longer than expected”, adding “I didn’t like it. Because I had another schedule”.
Lee Sung Min shared, “As soon as I finished filming my scenes for ‘Reborn Rich’, I had to start preparing for another work. That’s why I didn’t have time to read the last part of the script. I thought I didn’t need to read it and believed that it would end well. That’s why I watched the ending with no information at all.”
Regarding Jin Yang Chul, the actor shared, “It’s hard to meet a character like that. I’m glad that Jin Yang Chul was loved by so many viewers, and as an actor, I also love my character”.
