Code: G – Genesis of Attention consists of five independent short films, each created through collaboration between human creatives and artificial intelligence. Together, they present a unique cinematic experience, exploring diverse genres and imaginative world-building that promise something beyond traditional storytelling.

Each short within Code: G offers its own narrative tone and emotional depth. Director Kim Joo-shin’s Prime Pattern: Echo is a sci-fi mystery set in a desolate future where a lone robot searches for truth in a world where humanity has vanished.

Lee Sun Bin stars in Memory Control Bureau, a tale set in a society where people erase painful memories in the pursuit of happiness. She plays a woman determined to reclaim her erased past. The film was produced by Kim Sung-hoon, known for directing Confidential Assignment and Rampant.

DMZ brings a post-apocalyptic thriller set in the last uncontaminated zone on the Korean peninsula after a nuclear and biochemical catastrophe. A series of mysterious disappearances in the DMZ ignites tension and suspense.

Director Song Young-yoon’s Order in Chaos dives into the psyche of a dementia patient, uncovering lost memories and buried truths. The emotional and psychological drama brings a haunting and introspective tone.

Lastly, Day One follows a squad leader during his final week of military service as Seoul erupts into war. Set against this chaotic backdrop, the story highlights themes of courage and sacrifice under extreme conditions.

The newly revealed main poster emphasizes the expansive and experimental nature of the AI-powered anthology. Described as “an AI omnibus that breaks genre boundaries,” the visual collage unites scenes from all five films into one interconnected cinematic universe.

A special poster further expands this concept, showcasing a large AI-generated eye dominating the frame. Below it, Lee Sun Bin is seen intently watching a monitor, creating a striking contrast that visually captures the interplay between human and AI perspectives.

Code: G – Genesis of Attention marks the second Korean AI film to be released in theaters, following Run to the West earlier this year. Unlike its 61-minute predecessor, this film boasts a full 102-minute runtime through its omnibus structure.

Distributed by CGV, Code: G – Genesis of Attention opens nationwide on December 27.
