On the November 7 episode of SBS’s variety show My Manager is Too Harsh – Secretary Jin, Lee Seo Jin was seen giving relationship advice to Lee Kwang Soo, who is currently in an 8-year public relationship with actress Lee Sun Bin.
As soon as the two met, Lee Seo Jin joked, “I saw your girlfriend at the beauty salon,” lightheartedly referring to Lee Sun Bin. The topic naturally turned to Kwang Soo’s relationship, to which he responded, “It’s been 8 or 9 years, but we’re still doing well.”
Lee Seo Jin then chimed in with his trademark blunt honesty, saying, “If it goes past two years, it’s either marriage or a breakup.” When Kim Kwang Kyu teased, “Seo Jin can’t even make it past one year,” Lee admitted, “I’ve made it past one year before, but never two. If it passes two years, you’re basically heading to marriage.”
As Kim Kwang Kyu pointed out that all of Lee Seo Jin’s relationships ended, Lee Seo Jin playfully added, “That’s why I’m still single,” drawing laughter from everyone.
Following the broadcast, netizens revisited Lee Seo Jin’s past public relationship with actress Kim Jung Eun, which lasted for about two years. The pair met during the filming of the drama Lovers, but eventually parted ways. Kim Jung Eun later confessed that she could no longer face fans with pretense, offering a heartfelt explanation at the time. She is now happily married and enjoying her personal life.
The episode also featured a chaotic schedule mishap involving D.O. (Do Kyung Soo) and Ji Chang Wook, whom Lee Seo Jin and Kim Kwang Kyu were managing.
