Lee Min-ho Shocks Fans with Appearance in “Pachinko 2”
Still cuts of Lee Min-ho in his upcoming K-drama, “Pachinko 2”, have earned quite the reactions from fans of the actor.
Recently, new images of Lee Min-ho in the K-drama “Pachinko 2″ have been shared. In these two photos, the actor looks incredibly handsome and dashing, a stark contrast to his questionable appearance that disappointed fans last year.
In “Pachinko,” Lee Min-ho assumes the role of Koh Hansu, who starts as a struggling young man trying to make a living in Japan but later becomes a successful, cold, and calculating businessman.
Koh Hansu is the character who disrupts the life of the female lead, Sunja (Kim Min-ha). They share brief, passionate moments before being separated because Koh Hansu is married with three children. With new developments in “Pachinko 2,” the character’s inner world promises to be explored even deeper as he attempts to reunite with Sunja in Osaka in 1945.
For those who don’t know, Koh Hansu is a role Lee Min-ho put a lot of effort into. To secure this role, Lee Min-ho personally participated in the casting—a process he hadn’t done in the past 13 years.
After the first season of the film concluded, Lee Min-ho’s character, Koh Hansu, received mixed reactions. Viewers considered Koh Hansu to be a dishonest, irresponsible man who deceived Sunja. However, with the revelations in the “Pachinko 2” trailer, it seems the audience might change their perception of this character. Koh Hansu has been keeping an eye on Sunja and her child for many years, even after she decided to marry another man. Moreover, he helps her learn how to survive during a turbulent period.
“Pachinko 2” featuring Lee Min-ho is scheduled to air every Friday, starting from August 22.
