During the October 18 broadcast, Hangout With Yoo’s cast, including Yoo Jae-suk, HaHa, Lee Yi-kyung, and Joo Woo-jae, were in the middle of filming a segment for Insamo (People Without Popularity Club) when Lee Mi-joo suddenly appeared on set, marking her first appearance since leaving the program in May.
At the time, the members were jokingly discussing who among them might qualify for Insamo. Joo Woo-jae quipped, “If we make a female version, the top two candidates would be Park Jin-joo and Lee Mi-joo.”
As soon as he said it, Lee Mi-joo walked onto the set, holding a microphone and smiling brightly. “I’m a guest!” she exclaimed, explaining that she had just finished her radio schedule and dropped by after running into a staff member she knew.
The cast burst into laughter and applause, completely taken by surprise by her spontaneous entrance.
When told that the team was filming a segment for Insamo, Lee Mi-joo innocently asked, “Is that a club for people who are popular and lovable?”
HaHa jokingly sighed, “You really haven’t been watching Hangout With Yoo, have you?” while Joo Woo-jae teased that Mi-joo would be their “number one pick” for the female version of the club.
Laughing, Lee Mi-joo waved them off, replying, “This isn’t where I belong. Thank you so much, and it was nice seeing you!”
She then left the set as quickly as she came, leaving both the cast and viewers amused by her lively energy and trademark humor.
Mi-joo’s short but cheerful appearance quickly became a hot topic online. Fans expressed how much they missed her bright presence on the show, flooding social media with comments like: “Her energy just changes the whole atmosphere!” and “Even her brief cameo made the episode ten times funnier.”
While her visit was unplanned, it reminded viewers why Lee Mi-joo remains one of the most loved variety personalities in Korea.
