The upcoming tvN Monday-Tuesday drama Nice to Not Meet You, starring Lee Jung Jae and Lim Ji Yeon, is already making waves online before its premiere, thanks to its powerful cast and witty, emotionally charged concept.

A newly released comic-style poster featuring the tagline, “I think I messed with the wrong crazy person,” perfectly captures the chaotic yet hilarious dynamic between the leads, sparking excitement for what’s to come.
In the poster, Lim Ji Yeon’s character, reporter Wi Jung Shin, cheekily poses with one leg up behind top star Lim Hyun Jun (played by Lee Jung Jae), whose bewildered expression adds to the comic tension. The image alone suggests a romance that’s messy, unpredictable, and irresistibly entertaining.

Set against the backdrop of fame and media scrutiny, Nice to Not Meet You tells the story of two people from completely different worlds whose lives become entangled through a series of unexpected events. Unlike conventional romantic comedies that glorify sweetness and fantasy, this drama focuses on the uncomfortable honesty of love — the awkward, human moments that make relationships real.
Wi Jung Shin is a bold, sharp-tongued entertainment journalist who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth, even if it means exposing a star’s deepest secrets. Meanwhile, Lim Hyun Jun is a charismatic A-list actor — the target of Wi Jung Shin’s investigations and, eventually, the center of her conflicted emotions.
Their relationship begins with tension and confrontation, each viewing the other as a rival. But beneath the arguments and distrust, subtle feelings begin to bloom — emotions too complicated to call “love,” yet too warm to be dismissed as hate.

After teaser clips were released, viewers flooded social media with praise and anticipation. Comments such as, “The acting already feels incredible,” “This looks so funny and refreshing,” and “Lee Jung Jae and Lim Ji Yeon’s chemistry is insane — definitely a hit incoming” filled the YouTube comment section. Some even called it “the next great K-drama masterpiece.”
The series is written by Jo Sung Hee, known for She Was Pretty and Thirty but Seventeen, and directed by Jung Sang Hee, who helmed Wonderful World and Fanletter, Please.
Premiering November 3 at 8:50 PM KST, Nice to Not Meet You explores the fine line between love and hate — how misunderstanding, warmth, and truth intertwine to reveal the raw, imperfect beauty of human connection.
Meanwhile, Lee Jung-jae (53) and Lim Ji-yeon (35) may be 18 years apart in age, but their chemistry says otherwise in a romantic new pictorial released by Amazon Prime on October 8.
The photoshoot, captured in support of their upcoming tvN Monday-Tuesday drama Nice to Not Meet You, shows the two actors striking affectionate poses, radiating a couple-like warmth that instantly drew attention.

Lim Ji-yeon glows in a soft pink sleeveless two-piece ensemble, her styling enhancing her delicate charm. In one photo, she gently leans on Lee Jung-jae’s shoulder, exuding effortless romantic vibes.
Lee Jung-jae complements her in a clean-cut outfit—light-wash denim jacket and pants paired with a crisp white shirt. His signature calm smile and relaxed charisma set a serene tone, making their pairing feel natural and magnetic.

Despite their real-life 18-year age gap, their synergy in the photos has received praise for making the age difference “disappear.” Their comfortable eye contact and body language have only fueled buzz ahead of the drama’s premiere.
Set to premiere on November 3, Nice to Not Meet You tells the story of a jaded national actor who has lost his sense of purpose and an entertainment journalist obsessed with justice. The drama promises a fiery battle of wits, fact-bomb confrontations, and prejudice-shattering moments, all set within the glitzy-yet-gritty entertainment industry.

Interestingly, while Lee Jung-jae has been in a long-term relationship since 2015 with Lim Se-ryeong, vice-chairwoman of Daesang Group, Lim Ji-yeon is also publicly dating actor Lee Do-hyun, who is five years her junior. Both actors are thus firmly in relationships—making the onscreen chemistry all the more professional and compelling.
With visuals this stunning and a storyline full of promise, Nice to Not Meet You is shaping up to be one of this year’s most anticipated K-dramas.
