“Big Mouth” heralded the birth of a grand worldview.
MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Big Mouth,” which will air for its first episode on July 29th, depicts the story of a 10% winning-rate lawyer who accidentally took charge of a murder case before becoming the genius fraudster “Big Mouse” overnight. He then has to dig into the private lives of privileged families stained with huge conspiracies to protect his families.
Park Chang-ho (played by Lee Jong-seok) and his wife Ko Mi-ho (played by Lim Yoon-ah), who is struggling to save her husband, are making the audience curious about how they will overcome this difficulty.
In the meantime, the drama is already heightening the audience’s attention as it implies that something secret is hidden behind the new city “Gucheon City,” the background of the drama and the stage where the struggle between the main character couple to save their families will begin.
First of all, Gucheon-si is a large city with a population of more than 1 million, and it is a fictional new city that is currently dreaming of becoming a metropolitan city. Choi Do-ha (Kim Joo-heon), a former star prosecutor, is the mayor who focuses on making the city emerge as a stable city for the economy, education, culture, welfare, and security.
The peace and well-being of the Gucheon-si is only for the privileged. Lawyer Park Chang-ho and nurse Ko Mi-ho, who are only small citizens, are running around sweating on the soles of their feet to make ends meet without being able to enjoy the majesty of the colorful metropolitan city.
Then one day, Park Chang-ho’s name turned the life of his ordinary family upside down after they accused him of being the genius fraudster “Big Mouse.”
Park Chang-ho, who is then imprisoned in Gucheon Prison, the “Hell’s Villa” in Gucheon-si where there is no paradise on earth, will be reborn as a true “Big Mouse” to survive among all kinds of felons, including Jerry (Kwak Dong-yeon).
On top of that, Ko Mi-ho also jumps into the battlefield to reveal the hidden truth by properly showing her warrior side that she has been hiding to save her husband. Attention is focusing on whether the couple, who were embroiled in a huge conspiracy, will be able to return to their normal lives safely.
They are not the only ones who have entered the war over “Big Mouse,” a genius con artist. The NR Forum, a secret private organization in which politicians in need of money meet chaebol in need of power, has also gathered in Gucheon-si in search of “Big Mouse.”
From Gong Ji-hoon (Yang Kyung-won), president of the U-jung Press, to Choi Do-ha, mayor of Gucheon, and Hyun Joo-hee (Ok Ja-yeon), director of Gucheon Hospital, all belong to the NR Forum, suggesting the connection between them and Gucheon City.
There is a myriad of curiosity about the reality of Gucheon-si, which holds the ugly truth behind its peaceful appearance, as to how there is a connection between the NR Forum and Gucheon-si and “Big Mouse.”
As such, “Big Mouse” sets in a fictional city called “Gucheon City,” which crosses fiction and reality, further raising expectations for the fierce war between the six characters in the future.
“Big Mouse” will premiere at 9:50 p.m. on July 29th.
