Lee Ji-ah “I drink alone when past memories come to mind after shooting difficult emotional scenes”

On Jan 29th, a video featuring Lee Ji-ah and Kang Ki-young was posted on the YouTube channel “Zzanbro Shin Dong-yup”.

In the video, Shin Dong-yup told Lee Ji-ah, “I heard a lot from people around me. They said you are very laid-back and honest.“

Then, when Kang Ki-young asked about Shin Dong-yup’s age, Lee Ji-ah certified her laid-back personality by saying “Why are you asking that? Don’t ask about age. It makes me uncomfortable, dude“, which brought laughter.

Afterwards, Shin Dong-yup asked Lee Ji-ah, “This is just my personal curiosity. Do you ever drink alone either to relieve stress?” Lee Ji-ah replied, “There are days when I need a drink. Like when shooting emotional scenes that are tough or when I’m feeling emotionally drained. Then I tend to drink alone at home.”

Shin Dong-yup went on to say, “I worked with actors who played roles of getting hurt by this guy, that guy in the past, and they said, ‘It was so tough.’ At the time, I used to wonder ‘What was so tough?’ but as time passed, I came to understand. This is my personal curiosity. What about you?“

Lee Ji-ah attracted attention as she emphasized once again, “I go back to my normal self after the director shouts ‘cut’. Rather than getting too absorbed into the character, there are times when shooting a scene reminds me of a difficult part of my past, or when I think about certain aspects of my past while filming a scene. There are times when it comes to mind.“
