Lee Hye-ri To Play Top 0.1% Student In New Drama “Friendly Competition”

Singer-actress Lee Hye-ri will make her comeback on the small screen with the new drama “Friendly Competition”

On July 17th, the production team of “Friendly Competition” announced the casting of Lee Hye-ri and confirmed the production through a press release.

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, “Friendly Competition” is a high-teen mystery thriller about the relationships of teenage girls in a survival competition that is even more severe than the entrance exam. The story happens at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, where the top 1% of students in South Korea gather, when Woo Seul-gi, who is from a local orphanage, transfers to the school but doesn’t fit in with this environment. Depicting the unfiltered lives of teenage girls obsessed with competition, this drama is expected to be one of the most anticipated projects of 2025.

In “Friendly Competition”, Lee Hye-ri plays Yoo Jae-yi, a Chaehwa Girls’ High School student who holds great power. Yoo Jae-yi is a genius student in the top 0.1% of the school and an exceptional girl with natural beauty, a high IQ, and a good family background.

Yoo Jae-yi, who has lived a life envied by others ever since she was born, acknowledges her superiority and knows how to use it well. She plans to approach the transfer student Woo Seul-gi and develop a close friendship with her.

With “Friendly Competition”, Lee Hye-ri will return to the small screen two years after the airing of “May I Help You?” in 2022.
