The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards was held at KINTEX in Ilsan on May 6th. The awards ceremony was hosted by broadcaster Shin Dong-yeop, actress Suzy and actor Park Bo-gum.
As for the Best Actor in the Film category, “In Our Prime” Kim Dong-hwi, “Hostage: Missing Celebrity” Kim jae-beom, “Perhaps Love” Mu Jin-sung, “Hot Blood“ Lee Hong-nae and “Not Out” Jung Jae-kwang were nominated.
Lee Hong-nae was announced as the winner. Lee Hong-nae appeared on the stage and delivered his acceptance speech, saying, “To my mom and dad at home, who always pray and support me, I want to say that I love you from the bottom of my heart. To ‘Hot Blood’ director Cheon Myeong-kwan, I was so happy every time you said okay and smiled during the filming. Thank you to all the staff and seniors who made ‘Hot Blood’ together with me. Especially, I have learned so many things from Jung Woo sunbaenim. I will go step by step to become a good actor”.
In the Film category’s Best Actress section, “Aloners” Gong Seung-yeon, “Snowball” Bang Min-ah, “Love and Leashes” Seo-hyun, “Young Adult Matters” Lee Yoo-mi, and “Ten Months” Choi Sung-eun were nominated.
Lee Yoo-mi shed tears as she received the trophy. The actress shared, “Thank you so much for giving me such a meaningful award. I feel so happy that I think I’m about to cry. First of all, I want to thank all the precious people – the director, staff, and my fellow actors, who created ‘Young Adult Matters’ together with me”, adding, “I love you all, my company members who are like a family to me. I will work harder from now on”.
