Lee Honey Recalled Doing Wire Action Scenes And Staying Up All Night 6 Months After Giving Birth

MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Knight Flower,” which aired on January 13th, recorded double-digit ratings in the second episode. After recording 8.2% ratings (based on national households, provided by Nielsen Korea), its highest rating peak soared to 10.7%, signaling the birth of a new MBC hit.

“Knight Flower” is a comeback production that Lee Honey chose after giving birth. Her TV comeback came three years after SBS’ “One the Woman” in 2021. Lee Honey played the widow Jo Yeo-hwa with double identities.

At a press conference held at MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul on January 12th, Lee Honey candidly shared her feelings about returning after three years.

“It’s been three years,” Lee said with a smile, before adding, “I didn’t think about it for a long time. It’s a time that I should be worried as I just gave birth. First of all, the script was so much fun. I thought, ‘I really want to do it.'”

Lee Honey have tried action acting in projects such as the dramas “The Fiery Priest” and “Rebel: Thief Who Hole The People,” and the movies “Phantom” and “Extreme Job.” This time, she surprised everyone by saying that she had wire action only six months after giving birth. “I had a lot of action scenes, and I stayed up all night because I had a lot of filming at night,” she recalled.

Meanwhile, “Knight Flower” airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m (KST).
