Lee Dong-wook talked about the terrible slump in his acting career after “Goblin”, “I felt like my hands and feet were tied up”
Actor Lee Dong-wook appeared on “Yoo Quiz on the Block” and confessed about the slump in his acting career.
The 136th episode of tvN’s entertainment program “Yoo Quiz on the Block” aired on December 22nd was a Christmas special called “Christmas Gift”. Lee Dong-wook appeared as a guest and introduced his newly released drama “Bad and Crazy” and the upcoming movie “Happy New Year”, which will be premiered during the Christmas season.
Drawing attention after playing the Grim Reaper in “Goblin”, Lee Dong-wook has constantly met the audiences through various worlds, such as “Tale of the Nine Tailed”, “Stranger From Hell”, etc.
Regarding his acting slump, Lee Dong-wook said, “The period after ‘Goblin’ ended and before I agreed to play in ‘Stranger From Hell’, I felt like my hands and feet were tied up. I had had many worries and thoughts before but had never felt so stressed like that. I encountered more failures than successes. After staying at home for a few months, I began to think, “nothing can be solved if I keep on staying still”. So I gained back strength on my own and came out. That’s why I decided to take on the role in ‘Stranger From Hell’.”
