Actor Lee Dong-hwi (41), who announced his breakup with model Jung Ho-yeon in November last year, will return to television with a new romance drama Onion Soup After Work.
The drama is part of the 2025 KBS 2TV one-act project Love: Track, a romance anthology consisting of ten different love stories in various forms. This marks a fresh evolution of KBS’s long-standing legacy in producing quality one-act dramas for over 41 years, now tailored to match modern sensibilities.

Onion Soup After Work follows a weary office worker whose only daily comfort the onion soup from his favorite diner suddenly disappears from the menu. Lee Dong-hwi plays Park Moo-an, a sales rep at a pharmaceutical company. Constantly overlooked at work and without friends or a partner, Moo-an trudges through life, drawing solace from a bowl of onion soup. But when it vanishes from the menu, his monotonous world is shaken.
Starring opposite him is Bang Hyo-rin (31), a rising actress who plays Han Da-jung, the chef of a French home-style restaurant. Da-jung takes joy in seeing guests enjoy her food, but one day she makes a bold choice to remove the onion soup from the menu. What follows is a sweet and teasing romance between the persistent customer and the reluctant chef, brought to life by the chemistry between Lee Dong-hwi and Bang Hyo-rin.
Onion Soup After Work is scheduled to air on December 14 at 10:50 p.m. KST on KBS 2TV.
