Lee Dong-gun Explains Why He’s Not Dating, “I Shouldn’t Do It”
Actor Lee Dong-gun revealed the reason he has not been in any relationship for a long time on “My Little Old Boy”
SBS’s entertainment program “My Little Old Boy” broadcast on July 21st showed Lee Dong-gun meeting actor Goo Bon-seung on Jeju Island.
Goo Bon-seung explained why he had been living in Jeju for 9 years, saying “In 2016, my parents came here first, not me. They decided to spend their old age in Jeju. I really like fishing and I’m one of the Top 3 in my family. I didn’t have much work to do so I sent my fishing supplies here and as I enjoyed fishing, I made friends”.
When Lee Dong-gun said he thought Goo Bon-seung didn’t want to get married, Goo Bon-seung replied that he had plans to get married and added, “People who don’t want to get married always end up getting married early. People like me can’t do it”.
Regarding his last romance, Goo Bon-seung said, “I guess it’s been almost 18 years”. Hearing that, Lee Dong-gun said, “I haven’t dated anyone for a long time. My child is still young. It’s an age where the kid cannot fully understand the reality of mom and dad. I still think I should not do such a thing to a child at this time”.
Goo Bon-seung said, “A fortune teller told me that I’ll meet someone this year. If I don’t connect with that person, I’ll have to wait until I’m 62”. In response, Lee Dong-gun worriedly asked, “But half the year has passed, right?”.
Earlier, Jo Yoon-hee appeared on “I’m Alone Now” and shared, “I got married thinking that I would not divorce”, adding “I can’t honestly share about my marriage because my ex-husband is doing the same thing as me”. She continued, “It was not the marriage I had dreamed of. After much consideration, I believed that the only answer was divorce. I made up my mind first and decided to divorce.”
Jo Yoon-hee shared, “My ex-husband didn’t want to divorce. I decided to divorce him because I think trust and faith between family members are very important”, adding “The divorce was not as uncomfortable as I thought, and I just did it confidently. As a mother who has faith in my child, I’m confident that nothing had changed”.
Lee Dong-gun married actress Jo Yoon-hee in 2017 and had a daughter named Roa. The two divorced in 2020.
