On September 9, Lee Min-jung uploaded a video titled “From Gold Spoon Rumors to Boys Over Flowers Casting—Lee Min-jung Life Talk” on her YouTube channel “Lee Min-jung MJ”. In the video, she spoke openly about her life with fellow actresses Lee So-yeon and Wang Bit-na.
When discussing her children, Min-jung revealed that her son Joon-hoo and daughter Seo-yi were born nearly nine years apart. “After Joon-hoo was born, Seo-yi came along much later. They’re nine years apart. Seeing them grow makes me realize how quickly 12 years have flown by,” she said, highlighting her life as a mother of 12 years.
She described her son as a thoughtful boy who often shows consideration for his mother, but admitted her daughter mirrors her own personality: “When Seo-yi is doing something and I call her, she just reacts abruptly. Honestly, that’s exactly like me. I used to hear that criticism a lot. I realized that kind of behavior might have hurt others, and it made me reflect on myself.”
Lee So-yeon chimed in, saying, “She really is your copy,” to which Min-jung agreed, noting that her daughter even shares her habit of showing annoyance when bothered. At the same time, she added that Seo-yi also knows how to charm others, especially when she wants something like snacks.
Lee Min-jung married actor Lee Byung-hun in 2013. The couple welcomed their son Joon-hoo in 2015 and their daughter Seo-yi in 2023. Min-jung has often shared family updates on social media, including moments of Lee Byung-hun strolling hand in hand with their daughter, cementing his reputation as a doting “daughter fool.”
