On August 29 (local time), director Park Chan-wook’s latest film No Other Choice held its world premiere at the prestigious Sala Grande theater during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. The screening, which filled all 1,032 seats, ended with a standing ovation and rave reviews from the audience. Attending the premiere were Park Chan-wook, Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, and Yeom Hye-ran, who all graced the red carpet with confident smiles under the intense spotlight of international press coverage.
Amid the glamorous evening, photos of Lee Byung-hun and his wife Lee Min-jung quickly spread across Korean online communities and social media. Lee Min-jung accompanied her husband to the festival, and she previously shared snapshots of her time in Venice, including a photo with Son Ye-jin.
In the released photos, Lee Byung-hun is seen warmly escorting Lee Min-jung with a gentlemanly gesture, his sweet smile highlighting their affectionate bond. Lee Min-jung radiated elegance in a white dress, exuding both sophistication and purity as she walked gracefully beside her husband.

While the couple’s appearance charmed fans, many also noted that Son Ye-jin did not attend the festival with her husband, Hyun Bin. Some netizens expressed slight disappointment, while others imagined how iconic it would be to see both star couples together at an official event.

Meanwhile, Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice stars Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, and others. Adapted from Donald E. Westlake’s novel “The AX,” the film follows the story of Mansoo (played by Lee Byung-hun), a company worker who seemed to have achieved everything in life—until he is suddenly fired. As he fights to protect his family and keep their hard-earned home, he embarks on a desperate personal war to secure re-employment.
