LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae Sticker Controversy: “The Staff Said It Was Okay”

On September 1, screenshots of social media posts by staff members surfaced in online communities, showing stickers with the phrase “LE SSERAFIM Mini 4th Album ‘CRAZY'” and Hong Eunchae‘s face stuck on their MacBooks, sprays, tumblers, and other items. The staff shared messages like “She took over while I was distracted. Eunchae, be happy”, “My laptop is filled with Eunchae’s traces,” and “CRAZY promotion feat. traces of Eunchae,” showing affection for the female idol.

However, some netizens criticized Eunchae’s actions, saying she “crossed a line.”

They commented, “Just thinking about removing that sticker stresses me out,” “How is this different from someone scribbling on a cultural heritage site like Gyeongbokgung Palace?” “She probably doesn’t realize some people are paying off their MacBooks for two years,” “She really doesn’t think,” and “Why would she stick a non-removable sticker on someone else’s belongings? Was it agreed upon?”

On the other hand, some netizens felt the criticism was excessive, saying, “Female idols must have it tough, getting bashed over something like this,” “If the staff were okay with it, why are outsiders making a fuss?” “The staff themselves posted it, so why the uproar?” and “If it really bothered them, they wouldn’t have posted it.”

This isn’t the first time LE SSERAFIM’s Eunchae has faced controversy over her actions. During a previous live broadcast, she made a remark that seemed to mock a fan attending high school, saying, “You’re going to school, right? That must be tough,” while smiling.

At the time, netizens criticized her for being “rude” and demanded an apology. Eunchae eventually apologized during the mini 4th album ‘CRAZY’ release showcase on August 29, saying, “I will strive to show a more cautious and responsible side in the future.”

Even then, some netizens felt the criticism was overblown.
