LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam is a confirmed bully if she was truly recorded by School Violence Committee, says lawyer and education department officer
A notice of school violence committee results with Kim Garam listed as the perpetrator has been spreading across the net.
Recently, netizens started to spread around a notice of school violence committee results dated back in 2018, with LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam listed as a perpetrator.
In addition, an alleged victim of the female idol also came forward with claims against Kim Garam, demanding no compensation but an apology from Garam and the company. The public, naturally, was on fire, and amid all of these, an official from Korea’s Department of Education expressed his views.
“Due to the self-control nature of Korean schools, in the case of the School Violence Committee, each school will assess the level of severity and issue their own types of punishment in accordance with advice from experts. However, if Kim Garam was indeed recorded by the committee, she would undoubtedly be a perpetrator.”
Previously, an alleged victim revealed that Kim Garam was recorded to be a level 5 perpetrator, and that the idol, along with her parents, was required to take 6 hours of special education. In response to this claim, HYBE denied all allegations, and maintained that Kim Garam was only punished for protecting her friends.
Regarding the situation, a lawyer who worked externally with the School Violence Committee responded to YTN Star, saying: “Normally, the committee will first listen to the full story from all parties, from the alleged perpetrator, the victim, and their parents. The principal, vice-principal, and other school personnel will also be asked to attend the session before a punishment is decided. I don’t know the full details of Kim Garam getting the level 5 measure, but to get that level, the case must have been serious.”
He also added: “According to Kim Garam’s perspective, the issue happened when she tried to protect a friend. If such were the case, then the committee would carefully consider all details to lighten the punishment. The punished student can also appeal via official procedures if they believe their sentence to be too heavy.”
Therefore, if the spreading document has been true, then it’s confirmed that LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam must have committed bullying against her mate to get the level 5 sentence.
