On October 11, Chinese media outlet 163 reported that Laurinda Ho recently showed off her new 760-square-meter luxury mansion in Hong Kong. The lavish home features antique collections, rare artwork, a private pool, and a personal gym. Sources claim Ho has already moved into the new residence and hosted multiple parties there, including a lavish BBQ on October 10. However, Dou Xiao was noticeably absent from every event, including the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.

According to Hong Kong media, the heiress has “erased” Dou Xiao from her life for nearly a year. She has been living alone in Hong Kong, completely cutting off public interactions with her husband no joint photos, no social media engagement, and no family gatherings. Even during important family events, Laurinda Ho has not brought Dou Xiao home to participate, leading On.cc to remark that “the couple are now strangers.”
Industry insiders revealed that their marriage has been beyond repair since May. Despite attempts to reconcile, the two ultimately failed to rebuild their relationship. Reportedly, Laurinda Ho even expelled Dou Xiao from their Beijing marital villa a wedding gift from her mother. Because the property was never officially transferred, Ho retained full authority to decide who could live there.

The Ho family is reportedly unbothered by the potential fallout, as the couple never legally registered their marriage. This means that in the event of a breakup, Dou Xiao will not be entitled to any part of the family’s vast fortune. His mother-in-law, Ina Chan, has already distanced herself from him barring Dou from attending her birthday party, family gatherings, and all of the Ho family’s business-related events.
While Laurinda Ho continues to live an affluent lifestyle, reports suggest that Dou Xiao is struggling financially. After spending nearly 10 million USD on wedding expenses and dowry during their extravagant Bali wedding, the actor is now said to be low on funds, living out of hotels and focusing solely on work to regain his reputation and financial stability.

With no marriage registration in place, the split between Dou Xiao and Laurinda Ho will not involve any asset division. Currently, Laurinda Ho’s net worth is estimated at around 40 billion HKD, making her one of the wealthiest women in the Hong Kong-Macau entertainment circle.
