On March 24 (local time), Taiwanese media outlet ET Today reported, “Wang Xiaofei will go ahead with his wedding to Mandy Ma as planned in May.” Wang Xiaofei had previously revealed that he remarried Mandy in May last year after obtaining a marriage certificate.
The wedding ceremony is set to take place at a hotel in Beijing this May. Following Barbie Hsu’s sudden death in February, there were speculations that the wedding might be postponed. However, Wang Xiaofei decided to proceed without changes to the schedule. The wedding is being prepared as a small, private family gathering with close relatives and friends.
It is also being speculated that the late Barbie Hsu’s children might travel to Beijing to attend Wang Xiaofei’s wedding. Since their mother’s passing, the children have continued to stay in Taiwan.
Wang Xiaofei has reportedly been traveling frequently between Beijing and Taipei to care for his children. His wife Mandy is said to be actively preparing for pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Barbie Hsu passed away in February during a trip to Japan due to pneumonia caused by the flu. She married Wang Xiaofei in 2011 and had one son and one daughter before divorcing in 2021. After the divorce, Barbie reunited with her former flame, Koo Jun Yup, in 2022. Their marriage, rekindled after 20 years apart, received widespread attention at the time.
Even after their divorce, Barbie Hsu and Wang Xiaofei had continued to engage in legal disputes over unpaid child support, defamation and property division.
