LABOUM’s Yulhee officially divorced FT Island’s Choi Min-hwan

On December 4th, Yulhee posted on her social media account, saying, “I feel bad because I have to tell you a little heavy story today, but I want to tell you directly, so I’m going to write it down.”

“After a lot of effort and conversation, we decided to support each other on our own paths,” she said, delivering the news of the divorce. “Our path as as couple ended here, but it’s not the end for us as the children’s mother and father, so we will both do our best to take care of and communicate with them.”

The idol also added, “Currently, after a lot of consideration, it have been decided that it is right for the kids to stay in the space where they have lived so far so that they have as little psychological anxiety as possible, and I will spend time meeting with them frequently so that they do not feel the absence of their mother.”

Yulhee said, “I was worried that the news would be sudden and embarrassing as you have cheered for me so much. However, it was never an easy choice to make, but we decided to follow each other’s happiness after a lot of conversations.”

Meanwhile, Yulhee gave birth to her first son in May 2018 and married FT Island’s Choi Min-hwan in October of the same year. Later, she gave birth to their twin daughters in February 2020.
