On the October 7 episode of Don Makase, Kwon Eun-bi appeared as a guest alongside hosts Hong Seok-cheon and Lee Won-il, opening up about her family and her journey to success.

When asked if her family feels proud of her achievements, Kwon Eun-bi laughed and replied: “They brag about me all the time. I told them not to, but now they just can’t help it — they’re too happy.”

During the conversation, Kwon Eun-bi shared a moving story about her brother, who is just one year older than her. “My brother got married, and I paid for the whole wedding,” she said.

The singer then revealed the reason behind her decision — a story that dates back to her teenage years.

“When I was in middle school, I really wanted to go to an arts high school, but my parents opposed it because it was expensive. My brother was still in high school then, but he secretly gave me some money for my entrance exam academy,” she recalled.

That small act of kindness left a lasting mark on her. “I was so touched back then. I promised myself, ‘One day, when I succeed, I’ll help my brother no matter what.’ I just wanted to keep that promise.”

Years later, after achieving success as a solo artist following her time in IZ*ONE, Kwon Eun-bi was finally able to return the favor.

However, Kwon Eun-bi admitted that her brother felt burdened by her gesture. “We didn’t really talk about it, but I could tell he felt uncomfortable. So I decided not to help him financially anymore,” she said softly.

“Every time I try to offer something, he just says, ‘It’s okay.’ He doesn’t want to receive help. That makes me feel both grateful and sorry at the same time.”

Her sincerity and sense of responsibility toward family quickly resonated with viewers, earning her praise online for her warmth and humility.
