K-pop star Kwon Eun Bi has officially canceled her scheduled performance at Waterbomb Busan 2025 on July 26 due to health concerns, drawing both support and frustration from fans.
On July 25, Woollim Entertainment issued a statement announcing the sudden cancellation: “Kwon Eun Bi will be unable to participate in Waterbomb Busan due to health-related issues. Despite focusing on recovery under medical guidance, additional rest is necessary.”
The agency added, “We will do our best to help her return to the stage in good health as soon as possible.”

Kwon Eun Bi, often dubbed the original “Waterbomb Goddess” for her iconic and daring stage outfits, had been highly anticipated at the Busan event. Her recent viral performances of “Rumor” with Lee Si An and a Beyoncé-inspired “Crazy in Love” cover had only heightened excitement for her next appearance.
Following the announcement, fan reactions were deeply divided. Many expressed concern and empathy:
- “It must be hard performing under the heat and water pressure—she needs to stop extreme dieting.”
- “It’s sad she’s sick, but it’s good she’s taking time to rest.”
However, others voiced disappointment over the last-minute cancellation:
- “I was only going to see Kwon Eun Bi.”
- “Booked my schedule and hotel just because of her appearance.”
- “Announcing it the day before? That’s unfair. Can I get a refund?”
- “I wanted to see her outfit. Why notify us so late?”

Some netizens noted that both the fans’ disappointment and their concern were understandable: “You can feel sad, but if she’s sick, what can you do?” and “She probably debated until the very last minute.”
Despite the backlash, most agree that Kwon Eun Bi’s health must come first. Her fans continue to wish her a swift recovery, looking forward to her return to the stage—hopefully, healthier and stronger.
