TWICE member Tzuyu recently wrapped up her first solo concert in Kaohsiung in 10 years since debuting in Korea at age 13. The emotional hometown performance ignited excitement across Taiwan and will be followed by a show at the Taipei Dome in March 2026.

Among those attending the Kaohsiung concert was Tzuyu’s former dance teacher, Hsieh Hsao-Chen (also known as Kua Kua), who shared a backstage photo with Tzuyu and reflected on their friendship. After being praised online as “the most deserving of a TWICE PR ticket,” Kua Kua posted on November 27 expressing gratitude, but clarified: “I supported her with my actions I bought my own ticket.”

He revealed that when the concert was first announced, he saw some netizens mocking him, saying he was “the least qualified to get a PR ticket.” Responding to the criticism, he wrote: “I don’t understand why there’s so much hostility. But let me say this… No one gets to decide who’s qualified or not. The heart behind your support matters most!”

Kua Kua explained that he rarely posts photos with Tzuyu, even though they have maintained a friendship over the years. This has led some to question whether they are actually close or if he is just “clout-chasing.” He addressed this directly: “I truly cherish this friendship, which is why I don’t use social media to prove our closeness or connection.”

Attending the concert and seeing Tzuyu return home to perform deeply moved him. “I burst into tears. I tried not to cry outside, but in that moment, I was overwhelmed with emotion,” he wrote.

In his heartfelt post, he concluded: “Thank you for your persistence. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for always believing. You’ve inspired me so much.”

Despite the sincerity, some netizens still accused him of “riding the wave” for attention. To that, Kua Kua snapped back with a sharp retort: “I’ll ride the wave all the way to hell if I have to!”
