What happens when K-pop’s rising stars like Billlie collaborate with global pop icons like Megan Thee Stallion ? That’s exactly what the upcoming Apple TV+ music competition series KPOPPED is about to unveil.
Set to premiere globally on August 29, KPOPPED brings together top-tier K-pop groups and international pop stars to form one-of-a-kind teams. Each episode features reimagined performances of classic hits, bridging genres and fanbases in a way that’s never been done before.
Produced by music legend Lionel Richie and CJ Vice Chair Miky Lee, the series is hosted by Korean-American comedian Soo Jung-son. KPOPPED promises to break cultural and sonic boundaries with stages crafted in real-time rehearsals and judged by a live audience in Seoul.
The K-pop lineup includes Billlie, ITZY, Kep1er, JO1, ATEEZ, STAYC, KISS OF LIFE, and BLACKSWAN. Meanwhile, pop royalty like Megan Thee Stallion, Patti LaBelle, Mel B and Emma Bunton (Spice Girls), Vanilla Ice, Kesha, Eve, J Balvin, Kylie Minogue, TLC, Boy George, Jess Glynne, Ava Max, and Boyz II Men are set to appear.
Audiences can expect genre-bending takes on iconic songs like Savage, Wannabe, Ice Ice Baby, Lady Marmalade, Can’t Get You Out of My Head, Motown Philly, and Waterfalls. Each collaboration will reimagine the music through a new cultural and stylistic lens, creating unforgettable performances.
The 8-episode series will stream exclusively on Apple TV+, starting August 29, available worldwide. From high-energy dance numbers to soul-stirring vocals, KPOPPED is poised to be a music spectacle celebrating collaboration and creativity across borders.
