Even though they are not in the same group anymore, these Kpop idols maintain a tight friendship with their former members and fellow trainees.

Fans always love to see interactions between Kpop idols, especially for those who used to work together, but are no longer teammates. As it’s not easy to stay in contact while apart, these interactions help to prove tight and close friendships.

Sakura – Won Young – Yujin – Chaewon – Yena (Former IZ*ONE members)

On December 13th, the 2022 Asia Artist Awards (2022 AAA) was held in Nagoya, Japan. Here, many fans of IZ*ONE spotted the girl group’s former members getting chummy on the stage, such as Sakura and Jang Won Young holding hands.

On the other hand, 3 other former IZ*ONE, Chaewon, Yena, and Yu Jin also boasted cute interaction. They conversed during the awards ceremony, laughed together, and also took photos together.

After IZ*ONE’s disbandment, each member has developed their own career. Nevertheless, their friendship never dwindled, and the girls are always having fun together whenever they meet, warming the hearts of fans.

Previously, when LE SSERAFIM promoted their 2nd album “ANTIFRAGILE” on Music Bank, they got the chance to do an interview with MC Jang Won Young. Here, a frame where former IZ*ONE members Won Young, Sakura, Chaewon, and Produce 48 participant Yunjin appeared together, has excited fans. Sakura’s fond gaze towards Jang Won Young also drew a lot of attention.

Chaehyun (Kep1er) – aespa

Before joining the lineup of Kep1er, Chaehyun trained for 5 years under SM Entertainment, and worked together with aespa members. Despite not making it to the same group, the girls remain close friends.

In the showcase for Kep1er’s first album “FIRST IMPACT”, Chaehyun shared, “aespa members have contacted me and said, ‘Now we can meet at broadcasting stations’ and ‘Let’s meet at waiting rooms’. Since they were extremely busy, it has been a long time since we last met. Hopefully, we can meet in the future.”

Earlier in 2022, Karina and Chaehyun even went on a “date” together, and uploaded extremely cute photos.

Miyeon ((G)I-DLE) – BLACKPINK

It is known that Miyeon used to train under YG Entertainment, and almost debuted with BLACKPINK. However, she later moved to CUBE Entertainment, and became a member of (G)I-DLE. Despite no longer being under the same company, Miyeon and BLACKPINK maintained a tighter relationship. According to Miyeon, BLACKPINK sent texts to congratulate her when (G)I-DLE first debuted.

Chaeyoung (TWICE) and Jeon Somi

Somi and Chaeyoung have been friends since forever, and their friendship was proudly shown on the JYP survival show SIXTEEN. In 2015, Chaeyoung debuted with TWICE, while Somi left the company to join The Black Label. Even after all those years, the relationship between the two is just as strong, with Chaeyoung showing her support to Somi during the release of “XOXO”.

In addition, Chaeyoung also appeared as a guest on the reality show “I Am Somi”, and revealed the reason behind this friendship. In particular, she told Somi, “First, your personality is different compared to mine. I’m not a talker, while you are always filled with energy. Second, I feel comfortable when I’m with you, and I can’t deal with people that make me uncomfortable.”
