K-pop artists are once again proving their global impact as they take center stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the United States. This year’s lineup highlights the powerful presence of Korean acts, including BIGBANG, Taemin, and rising global girl group KATSEYE.
BIGBANG Opens 20th Anniversary with Historic Coachella Stage
Legendary group BIGBANG, now consisting of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung, will kick off their 20th anniversary activities with a major performance at Coachella. The trio is scheduled to perform on April 12 and 19 (local time) at the Outdoor Theatre stage in Indio, California, delivering a 60-minute set.

This marks BIGBANG’s first full-group performance in nine years, following their 2017 “Last Dance Tour.” Although they were previously listed in the 2020 Coachella lineup, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans are already anticipating iconic hits such as “BANG BANG BANG,” “FANTASTIC BABY,” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY.” The group described the upcoming performance as a symbolic new beginning, emphasizing their desire to connect with global fans through music.
Taemin Becomes First Korean Male Soloist with Solo Coachella Stage
Taemin is set to make history as the first Korean male solo artist to hold a solo stage at Coachella. Performing on April 11 and 18 at the Mojave Stage, his 50-minute set will run from 7:30 PM to 8:20 PM.

Beyond performing his signature hits, Taemin will also unveil previously unreleased songs for the first time. His agency stated that the performance will go beyond a typical concert, presenting a stage that feels like a complete artistic work and highlighting Taemin’s wide creative spectrum.
KATSEYE Debuts New Song and Special Collaboration Stage
Global girl group KATSEYE, a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, has also taken the Coachella stage. Performing at the Sahara Stage on April 11, the group introduced their newly released track “PINKY UP” for the first time. The song features energetic funk elements, combining strong percussion, bass, and vibrant synth textures to create a dynamic yet refined sound.

Adding to the excitement, KATSEYE delivered a special collaboration stage with members of the virtual girl group HUNTRIX from Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters. Together, they performed the OST track “Golden,” creating a unique crossover moment between virtual and real-world K-pop acts.
From BIGBANG’s long-awaited return to Taemin’s historic solo stage and KATSEYE’s global debut momentum, this year’s Coachella highlights the continued expansion of K-pop on the international stage. Each act brings a different generation and style, collectively reinforcing K-pop’s presence at one of the world’s most influential music festivals.
