These dramas have already ended but they are still mentioned as hot dramas. Interest in Korean romance is spreading beyond Korea to the world.
According to the OTT ranking website FlixPatrol, 3 Korean dramas ranked in the TOP 10 TV Shows on Netflix Worldwide this week. The 3 dramas SBS’s “Business Proposal”, tvN’s “Twenty-five Twenty-one” and JTBC’s “Forecasting Love and Weather” ranked No.4, No.6 and Np.10, respectively.
These 3 works already ended but are drawing attention as their heat has not cooled down yet. “Business Proposal” and “Twenty-five Twenty-one” led the list of the box office hits with the highest rating exceeding 10% at the time they were aired. Along with the work, the popularity of their cast actors, such as Ahn Hyo-seop, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Song Kang, also rose significantly.
Business Proposal (2022)
“Business Proposal” tells a thrilling office romance between a talented CEO, who is also known as a ‘face genius’, and a female employee who lies about her identity on the blind date. This drama is based on a webtoon and web novel of the same name on Kakao Page.
Kim Se-jeong earned the nickname “Korea’s Emma Stone” for her witty comic acting performance in the first episode. Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo-seop played the perfect CEO Kang Tae-moo, who owns not only an outstanding look but also money and excellent business skills. Showing different appearances in a drama, from romantic acting to unexpected funny sides, Ahn Hyo-seop received many compliments. “Business Proposal” is said to be a “re-discovery of Ahn Hyo-seop”.

“Forecasting Love and Weather” is a romance genre drama that tells the work and love life stories of people working at the Korea Meteorological Administration, which is hotter than tropical nights and more unpredictable than local heavy rains. In this first work set in the Korea Meteorological Administration, Park Min-young, who played general forecaster Jin Ha-kyung, showed off her heart-fluttering chemistry with Song Kang, who played Lee Si-woo, who is in charge of Special Reporting. In particular, Jin Ha-kyung’s breakup with Han Ki-joon (Yoon Park), whom she was about to get married to at the beginning of the drama, and her one-night stand with Song Kang’s character were well-received as fast and shocking developments.
