According to KMCA, the main points of the new guidelines include: ▶ Thorough preparation and management to ensure the reliability and dignity of the ceremonies ▶ Establishing fair and transparent award criteria to foster a culture of awards ceremonies that contribute to industry development ▶ Respecting the choices of management companies and artists, protecting the rights of participants and favoring domestic events ▶ Strengthening cooperation with the government to ensure the proper hosting of awards ceremonies.

KMCA plans to release a standard contract for awards ceremony appearances in July to support compliance with these guidelines. The standard contract aims to help artists and management companies sign fair contracts for awards ceremony appearances, thus protecting the rights of artists and reducing the legal risks for management companies.

Choi Kwang-ho, Secretary General of KMCA, stated, “We expect these guidelines to contribute to creating awards ceremonies that are trusted by the industry, artists and audiences alike. We hope that awards ceremony organizers, artists, management companies and fans will work together for the continuous development of the music industry.
