On October 15, Kim Woo Bin appeared on the YouTube channel “YouTube Ha Ji Young.” During the episode, host Ha Ji Young invited the actor to her home for a casual conversation. As they looked around, the production team asked Kim what kind of home he lived in, to which he replied, “Mine has a lot of white and wooden tones. I live in a detached house.”

Ha Ji Young was surprised and said, “Living in a house like that must be difficult to maintain,” to which Kim Woo Bin agreed, “It really is. It’s not easy at all.”

Kim Woo Bin bought a detached house in Seongbuk-dong in June 2017 for ₩3.39 billion KRW (approximately $2.45 million USD), shortly after being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.

He went on to explain, “That’s why on my days off, I can’t even go out. I spend most of the time repairing and cleaning things.” Still, he pointed out a few upsides: “The best part is that no matter how loud I am, nobody can hear it. I actually tested it! I turned up the volume to see if anyone could hear outside. It’s great because I can watch movies at full volume, and since there’s a yard, I can really feel the four seasons.”

When asked about his daily life, Kim reflected, “Time passes by so fast. It feels like I close my eyes for a moment, and a few months have already gone by. So I remind myself to stay grounded and live happily.”

He added that spending time with the people he cherishes most keeps him grounded: “I really value being able to live my life surrounded by the people I care about — In Sung hyung, Kwang Soo hyung, Kyung Soo, and Tae Hyun hyung. We’ve stayed close for so long because there’s a foundation of mutual respect and understanding. They’ve shown me kindness, and I try to pass that same kindness on to my younger friends.”

When asked how much he spends per month, Kim Woo Bin caused laughter as he said, “When I’m working, I barely spend money because I don’t have time. It’s mostly daily necessities. My house is always full of delivery boxes. I eat the same things every morning — rice bread, peanut butter, and natto. I also get tricked by SNS ads a lot. Honestly, half of what I buy turns out to be useless.”
