Kim Tae Ri and Moon So Ri Reunite as Mother and Daughter in Drama ‘Jeong Nyeon’ with a Star-Studded Cast

Set to air in 2024, the drama “Jeong Nyeon” (literal title) depicts the story of a girl named ‘Jeong Nyeon’ who joins a women’s theater troupe and grows up in the aftermath of the Korean War in the 1950s.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Jeong Nyeon,” known for its fresh material and exceptional artistic quality, has been adapted for the drama. The cast includes Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, and Ra Mi Ran, with Moon So Ri making a special appearance, completing a splendid lineup.

In “Jeong Nyeon,” Kim Tae Ri plays Yoon Jeong Nyeon, a genius pansori performer who goes to great lengths to become a theatrical actress. Her impeccable synchronization with the character is highly anticipated.

Shin Ye Eun showcases her solid talents in singing, dancing, and acting as the determined and talented Heo Yeong Seo, bringing fiery rivalry chemistry with Jeong Nyeon.

Ra Mi Ran portrays Kang So Bok, the charismatic and strong-willed director of the Ma Ran Theater, adding to the anticipation.

Furthermore, Moon So Ri makes a special appearance as Seo Yong Rye, Jeong Nyeon’s mother, who raised her child alone while keeping her past as a gifted singer concealed. Moon So Ri and Kim Tae Ri, who previously appeared together as mother and daughter in the movie “Little Forest,” reunite in “Jeong Nyeon.”

“Jeong Nyeon” is set to begin filming in September and is scheduled for release in 2024.
