On August 18, tvN released a teaser video for Kim Tae-hee’s upcoming appearance on the show. Kim Tae-hee, who made her Hollywood debut through Butterfly, revealed the behind-the-scenes story of her casting: “The writer first suggested me for the role. They said the writer’s mother watched Stairway to Heaven and commented that I’m a talented actress who graduated from Seoul National University.”

Kim Tae-hee is married to singer-actor Rain and they have two daughters. On the show, Jo Se-ho remarked, “I guess one looks like Kim Tae-hee and the other like Rain,” to which Kim Tae-hee humorously responded, “For my first child, the upper part (face) resembles me, and the lower part resembles my husband. For the second child, the upper part resembles my husband, and the lower part resembles me. It’s a real ‘Hee-Bi mix,’” making everyone laugh.

When Yoo Jae-suk asked what her children usually say to her, Kim Tae-hee replied, “They just keep calling me.” Jo Se-ho added jokingly, “Being born with such a beautiful mom, they’d probably brag to their friends, saying, ‘This is our mom!’” Both hosts reacted warmly, saying her daughters must naturally be attached to such a beautiful mother. Yoo Jae-suk commented, “I can see that,” while Cho Sae-ho added, “If your mom is that beautiful, of course you’d want to show her off when friends visit — like, ‘She’s my mom.’”

Kim Tae-hee also hinted at revealing behind-the-scenes stories of her marriage to Rain for the first time. When asked when she first thought about marrying him, she said, “It seems our memories differ,” adding intrigue. She recalled, “(Rain) used to give me small, thoughtful gifts that weren’t burdensome. When I was feeling heavy-hearted and tired, I opened them, and they made me laugh. That’s when I first texted him.”

The actress even became emotional thinking about her mother, saying, “When I struggle emotionally, I feel like I’ve wronged my mom so much,” bringing viewers’ curiosity and sympathy.

Kim Tae-hee and Rain first met in 2011 during a commercial shoot and developed into lovers the following year. By January 1, 2013, they went public as an official celebrity couple, and in January 2017, they held a quiet wedding ceremony at a cathedral in Seoul. The couple welcomed their first daughter in 2017 and their second daughter in September 2019.
