On November 14, attorney Ko Sang-rok from Law Firm Pil, representing Kim Soo Hyun, posted a lengthy statement on his channel titled “Warning Regarding the Spread of False Information and Private Data Through Online Platforms and Caution Regarding Attorney Bu Ji-seok.”
Ko stated that based on recent interviews and counter-statements involving Bu Ji-seok, legal counsel for the late Kim Sae Ron’s family, “the bereaved family and the individual in question have essentially admitted to criminal conduct.” He added, “The foundational premise of all false claims in this case has completely collapsed.”

He emphasized, “Now that the stance of the family the root source of all shared information has been verified, the core elements of this cybercrime have already come to light. As such, all non-essential materials related to the actor’s personal life such as the dating-era photos released by Garo Sero Institute, postcards, letters, and even the diary entries that were unavoidably disclosed during our public defense were never meant to be made public without the actor’s consent.”
Ko warned that from this point forward, “if any personal material related to the actor is circulated in any form regardless of whether it has been previously disclosed by Garo Sero Institute it will prompt not only civil lawsuits for damages but also potential criminal charges, depending on the severity.”

The issue stems from Garo Sero Institute’s controversial claims that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron for around six years, beginning during her minor years. They cited family testimony as evidence.
In response, Kim Soo Hyun held an emotional press conference, firmly denying the allegations. His side called the so-called evidence “manipulated and fake,” asserting that while he did date Kim Sae Ron after she became an adult, there was absolutely no romantic involvement during her time as a minor.
