“They cursed at me when I was fat and even after I lost weight”, Kim Shin-young confesses of having panic disorder due to malicious comments on her appearance

Comedian Kim Shin-young recalled her hard time when suffering from malicious comments.

In the recent broadcast of KBS2’s “I’m not going to diet”, which aired on May 14th, comedian Kim Shin-young, actors Ha Jae-sook, Go Eun-ah, choreography Bae Yoon-jung, Brave Girls’s Yujeong, songwriter Park Moon-chi, and comedian Kim Ju-yeon were seen talking about their hard times when facing comments from haters.

On this day, Kim Shin-young expressed her frustration, saying, “When I was fat, they cursed at me. But even after I lost weight, they still pour out curses toward me”.

Kim Shin-young, who lost a total of 38kg to stay healthy, has been maintaining her weight well for 10 years. However, she was still upset by malicious comments on her body.

Kim Shin-young even confessed a heartbreaking story of eventually suffering from panic disorder. Telling her experience, she said, “During the time I was having symptoms of panic disorder, I was once asked to take a picture by a citizen”.

Kim Shin-young continued, “I refused the request because of my panic disorder but then heard that person say, ‘You’re still that confident even when you don’t appear on broadcasts’ in front of my face”. Other members also recalled the days when they were hurt by malicious comments and confessed sincere stories.

Actress Go Eun-ah surprised everyone by revealing that she suffered from diet obsession, depression, and panic disorder because of hateful comments. She shed tears and said that she was in pain due to comments, such as “I hope you would die”, “Go Eun-ah is finally doomed”, etc., when she resumed her Youtube activities.

In response, Kim Shin-young comforted Go Eun-ah, saying, “It is important to protect ourselves”.
