Investment and distribution company NEW announced on Nov 1st, “After much consideration, the production team of ‘Sad Tropics’ decided to film the movie with actor Kim Seon-ho within this year. It is scheduled to begin shooting in December.” Salt Entertainment – Kim Seon-ho‘s agency – shared, “We will prepare hard to repay the opportunity you gave us.”

Kim Seon-ho dropped out of KBS 2TV’s entertainment show “2 Days 1 Night” last month as he was embroiled in abortion controversy. After that, his appearances in movies “2 O’Clock Date” and “Dog Days” were canceled one after another. NEW also held a meeting over whether Kim Seon-ho should be removed or not, but finally decided not to replace the actor.

“Sad Tropics” is Kim Seon-ho’s debut movie which is directed by Park Hoon-jung, who produced “New World” and “The Witch”. It tells the story of a man who was born by a Korean father and a Filipino mother. He dreams of becoming a boxer and comes to Korea to find his father.

Meanwhile, “Sad Tropics” is in the process of casting other actors.
