In the meantime, Kim Sae Ron, who recently caused controversy due to her drunk driving accident, drew attention as she pressed ‘like’ on Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi’s posts. According to reports, Kim Sae Ron expressed her intention to drop out of the project in a discussion with the production team, the cast and Netflix after her scandal.

However, Kim Sae Ron’s scenes were still found in the released drama, sparking another controversy among netizens. In this regard, “Bloodhounds” director Kim Joo Hwan explained at the press conference, saying “We really tried out best to minimize the inconvenience and discomfort while viewers enjoy the drama.”

Considering the overall story and character development of the drama, the production team decided to keep the necessary minimum amount of Kim Sae Ron’s footage despite her drunk driving controversy. However, Kim Sae Ron could not actively participate in the promotional activities with Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi, and could only express her support by simply clicking the “like” button on SNS posts.

Meanwhile, Kim Sae Ron caused an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol in the early morning on a road in Gangnam, Seoul in May of last year. She hit street trees and transformers multiple times while attempting to flee away. The accident resulted in a power outage in the surrounding area and malfunctioning traffic lights, causing inconvenience to residents. As a result, the court ordered Kim Sae Ron to pay a fine of 20 million won.
